“The link between landscape and creativity has always fascinated me. The land has an energy that is dynamic; radiating, activating, and sacred. The vast vistas that appeal to me have a meditative quality to them. I combine reality with imagination.”

Rich’s paintings have an all-over sharp focus whether the viewer is near of far from it, which represents how we see in our mind’s eye rather than in fact from our physical eyes. Thus, a feeling of calm contemplation is induced.

Anne Rich has been painting and sculpting professionally since she graduated from the College Of Notre Dame of Baltimore in 1973. She has exhibited nationally in Baltimore, Boston, San Francisco and Philadelphia and The Museum of Modern Art in Queens, NY. Her work is in many collections.
